Up and Running with Amplify Static Site Hosting

In this video you'll learn how to use Amplify hosting to deploy a Nuxt site from a Git repository. We'll begin by walking through the steps of creating the deployment and configuring the correct build settings to enable a static build. Once the site is deployed, we'll view the live site hosted on AWS.

Nader Dabit: [0:00] To get started, we'll go to the AWS Console at console.aws.amazon.com. Next, we'll search for AWS Amplify. Under Deploy, we'll click on the Get Started button. Now, we'll choose our Git Provider and then click Continue. After authenticating with GitHub, we should be able to choose the repository and the branch that we'd like to deploy.

[0:42] Next, we'll edit the Build Settings. Because we're generating a static site, we'll set the build command to yarn run generate and the baseDirectory to dist. We'll save the updated build settings, scroll down and click Next. To deploy, click Save and Deploy.

[1:08] Once the deployment is successful you should see four grid checkmarks. To view the live app, click on the URL given to you by the Amplify Console.
